Questions homeowners ask

The things people call and ask before they hire anyone. If yours isn't here, call (207) 515-3358 and ask Jermaine directly.

01What areas of Maine does Maine Premier Painting serve?
Maine Premier Painting works across southern and central Maine, including Portland, South Portland, Westbrook, Falmouth, Cape Elizabeth, Scarborough, Cumberland, Yarmouth and the surrounding towns. Jermaine travels for larger projects, so if your town is not listed it is still worth a call to (207) 515-3358.
02How much does it cost to paint a house in Maine?
There is no flat rate: the price depends on the square footage, the condition of the surfaces and how much prep, patching or repair the job needs. Maine Premier Painting looks at the work in person and gives you a written number before anything starts.
03Are estimates free?
Yes. Estimates are free and carry no obligation. Jermaine comes out, walks the job with you, talks through colors and scope, and sends a written quote. You can also send photos through the estimate form to get the conversation started before the visit.
04Who actually does the work on my house?
Jermaine Motley, the owner, runs every job himself and is on site while the work is done. You are not handed off to a salesperson or a subcontractor you have never met. He meets every customer and walks every job personally.
05Do you do work other than painting?
Yes. Alongside interior and exterior painting, Maine Premier Painting builds decks and porches, installs flooring, replaces windows and doors, and takes on full kitchen, bath and basement remodels. Many customers start with paint and add work from there.
06How long does a painting job take?
A single interior room is usually a day or two. A whole-house interior generally runs a week or more, and exteriors depend on how much prep and washing the siding needs, plus the weather. You get a schedule along with your written quote.
07Can you paint outside during a Maine winter?
Interior work runs year round. Exterior painting is seasonal here, because the coatings need dry surfaces and warm enough temperatures to cure properly. Winter is a good time to book exterior work for spring and to get interior rooms done.
08How do I get started?
Call or text (207) 515-3358, or fill in the estimate form and attach photos of the space. Every inquiry gets a reply within one business day. From there Jermaine schedules a visit, prices the work and sends you a written quote.
09Do you take on small jobs?
Yes. One room, a set of cabinets, a section of rotten deck board or a single window replacement are all normal work here. Small jobs are quoted the same way as large ones: a visit, a written price, and the same prep and cleanup.
10What happens on the last day of the job?
Every job ends with a walkthrough. Jermaine goes through the work with you surface by surface, touches up anything that needs it, and the site is cleaned before the crew leaves. Nothing is called finished until you have seen it and signed off.
