What's included

Maine's climate puts your home through freeze-thaw cycles, heavy snow, coastal salt air, and intense summer sun. Without proper protection, exterior surfaces crack, peel, and deteriorate. Maine Premier Painting applies premium, weather-resistant coatings that defend your home while delivering lasting curb appeal.

We thoroughly prepare every surface before a single coat goes on: power washing, scraping loose paint, sanding rough areas, caulking gaps, priming bare wood, and addressing rot or damage. When we paint, it sticks and it lasts.

Questions about exterior painting

01What preparation do you do before exterior paint goes on?
Surfaces are washed, loose and peeling paint is scraped and sanded, rotten boards and trim are repaired or replaced, gaps are caulked and bare wood is primed. Prep is what decides whether the paint is still sound in five years.
02When is the best time of year to paint a house exterior in Maine?
Late spring through early fall, when surfaces are dry and temperatures stay high enough overnight for the coating to cure. Booking in winter or early spring usually gets you a better spot in the schedule than calling in July.
03Can you repair rot while you are painting?
Yes. Rotten clapboards, trim, fascia, sills and porch boards are repaired or replaced as part of the job. Painting over soft wood only hides the problem, so anything that fails a probe gets cut out and rebuilt first.
