What's included

A well-built deck is more than an addition to your home. It is where morning coffee happens, where summer cookouts bring people together, and where you unwind after a long day. Maine Premier Painting designs and builds custom decks that are as durable as they are beautiful.

We handle it from the first sketch to the final inspection: design, material selection, permitting, construction, and finishing. Every deck we build is framed for Maine's freeze-thaw cycles, heavy snow loads, and coastal conditions.

  • Custom designDesigned around your home's architecture, your yard, and how you'll actually use the space.
  • Permits & approvalsLocal building permits and code requirements handled from day one.
  • Structural framingProperly sized joists, beams, and posts with galvanized hardware for heavy snow loads.

Decking materials

We'll help you pick what fits your budget and how much upkeep you want.

  • CompositeThe low-maintenance option. Resists fading, staining, scratching and mold without staining or sealing.
  • Pressure-treatedThe cost-effective choice for a solid, long-lasting deck. Treated against rot and insects, refreshed with stain every few years.
  • CedarNaturally beautiful, with oils that resist rot and insects. Weathers to silver-gray or can be stained to keep its warmth.

Questions about deck

01How long does a new deck take to build?
Most residential decks are framed and finished inside a week once materials are on site, depending on size, height and whether footings, stairs or railings are involved. Permitting and material lead times are the usual variables.
02Should I choose composite or wood decking?
Composite costs more up front and needs almost no maintenance. Pressure-treated and cedar cost less and need cleaning and re-coating every few years. Jermaine prices both at the estimate so you can compare the real numbers for your deck.
03Can you repair an existing deck instead of replacing it?
Often, yes. If the posts, footings and framing are sound, replacing boards, railings and stairs is far cheaper than a rebuild. If the structure has failed, he will tell you straight rather than resurfacing something unsafe.
